Two 19th century skimmers, both hand made.  One has brass strainer, one has iron strainer.  Both have forged iron handles with formed hanging eyes.  Each is about 24 inches long.  Used in open fire cooking with the big cast iron pots to skim unwanted (twigs) or wanted (cracklins) material.
